Viacom Sues Youtube & Google for $ 1 Billion !
Viacom, just 8 hours ago sued Youtube and Google for $1 billion for copyright infringement laws. The people at top need to get a life , seriously.
it's been quite some time since youtube removed so many viacom videos from its site. One day you got every south park episode there ever was on youtube and the next day you didn't. same goes for the adventures of pete and pete episodes. they spared nothing, not even clips of opening sequences or anything with a teeny weeny clip in it.
Youtube allows viewers to view videos and embed them onto blogs. You can easily sign up for an account on youtube and upload your own video's. I'd say more than 60 percent of content on youtube is such home made stuff. There's no good software to capture video from Youtube, and the good ones cant get get it in good quality. They don't advertise much in youtube. I don't see why Viacom had to sue them. For 1 billion
$
And now, this.
One big case for a corporation and one helluva big blow for free content sharing and viewing platforms, which could've been the future.

Radioblogclub has kick-ud me in the balls
I don't remember all that I've been doing since I last posted. Except for the projects. How can I forget the damn projects. The mind numbing, brain tormenting, pain inducing projects.
Bloody professor after professor, thirsting for our blood. Nothing new though.
Our group project for Mass Media Research has took off well. We're doing JAM and MAD. We needed to contact them. It's a long shot but we decided to give it a try, so Maddy contacted MAD. MAD replied to our e-mail and said that they would be glad to be part of any survey and so, we're on! Imagine pulling that off!
I went to a kid's, my nephew's first birthday party, very nice. The variety of food there was so much, I could not even taste all the dishes because I was full.
Nice kid, very silent and doesn't make a racket like other kids
Also, twas my birthday on the 3rd. Had good fun. The class got together and bought me a cake to cut and I got my ass kicked thrown around and kicked in the foyer. My survey's are still not done. I ate dinner at Bhojanalay. On the bright side, I was successful in my resolution of 'Mera Birthday, Sober Birthday'. Hurray!
The hospital mess has raised its rates to 20 bucks for lunch. The FinMin dickshit and his schtupid Budget haven't done much for the middle class and have led to price raises in so many sectors. Even the Kala khatta juice centre opposite the BMC building has raised its prices. Thankfully, Bhojanalay still has the same rates.
All that food and so low the price. That's one business model I'd love to see.
I forgot about the radio and television project. It rocked. Spaz finally submitted to us the soundtrack. Although it wasn't what we expected, it wasn't bad at all. Quite nice and our project, which we had a blast shooting for, was well received. Floyd was amazed by the effort. We ruled.
About the heading, yes. I visited Radioblogclub.com today after quite some time. It seems that one has to now register with them and pay an annual fee to utilise their services. So I said balls, might as well starting video's from youtube now onwards. My next post I guarantee shall have a youtube video embedded!
And on this high I sign out! Adios!
